This module uses the MQ-3 Alcohol Gas Sensor, an affordable semiconductor sensor that detects alcohol gases in concentrations from 0.05 mg/L to 10 mg/L. It features SnO2 as the sensitive material, which increases its conductivity as alcohol concentration rises.
The MQ-3 sensor is highly sensitive to alcohol and resistant to smoke, vapor, and gasoline interference. It provides both digital and analog outputs, with an adjustable digital output threshold. The module is easy to interface with microcontrollers, Arduino boards, Raspberry Pi, and more.
