2.42″ OLED Display Module, 128×64, White, I2C (SSD1309)

If the 0.96″ or 1.3″ OLED is too small for your project, this is the upgrade. It keeps the familiar 128×64 resolution on a screen more than twice as wide, so each pixel is bigger and readouts can be seen from several metres away. That makes it a good choice for panel meters, wall-mounted displays, workshop tools and demos where other people need to see the screen.

Because it’s an OLED, it needs no backlight. You get true blacks, sharp white text and a wide viewing angle. It connects with only 4 wires over I2C, which leaves the rest of your pins free for sensors and motors.

Wiring (Arduino Uno / Nano)

On an ESP32, use GPIO 22 for SCL and GPIO 21 for SDA.

Library Support

This module uses the SSD1309 driver. We recommend:

• U8g2. Choose an SSD1309_128X64 I2C constructor.
• Adafruit SSD1306. It usually works with SSD1309 displays as well.

Both can be installed from the Arduino IDE Library Manager. If nothing shows up on the screen, run an I2C scanner sketch to confirm the address.
